FIRST SAMUEL RECORDS THAT THE IDOL DAGON FELL ON ITS FACE BEFORE THE ARK TWO MORNINGS IN A ROW, AND THE SECOND TIME ITS HEAD AND HANDS LAY ON THE THRESHOLD. 🗿📜

First Samuel chapter 4 records one of the darkest days in Israel’s history. The army was losing to the Philistines, so the elders sent for the Ark of the Covenant, treating it like a weapon that would guarantee victory. The plan failed completely. Israel was defeated, the two sons of the high priest Eli fell in battle, and the Ark of God was captured. When old Eli heard the news, he fell backward from his seat and died. His daughter-in-law named her newborn son Ichabod: “The glory has departed”

Beloved, the glory of God may look captured for a season, but it is never defeated. Every idol eventually falls on its face before His presence. If you feel that the glory has departed from your life, invite the Lord back into the center of your house. Pray today: “Lord, let every idol in my home fall before You.” What He enters, He rules, and nothing raised against Him will remain standing.
