The tendency of modern thought, if it can actually be called thought due to its actual shallowness, is to reject dogmas, creeds and every kind of  boundary found in the Christian religion.  Paradoxically, a religion like Islam can have all sorts of strict rules and regulations and be coupled with contradictions accompanied with harsh penalties for perceived or imagined violations but the lefties, rather than condemn them for being rigid and stifling of real diversity says, “Oh, we must understand and tolerate their intolerance.”  Therefore, it winds up being pronounced grand and wise to condemn no opinion whatsoever outside of Biblical Christian views, and to pronounce particular “earnest and clever” far left teachers to be trustworthy, however heterogeneous and mutually destructive their opinions may be.

    We get told everything is true and nothing is false.  Everybody is right and nobody is wrong.  It is a strange time indeed when the proponents of that highly illogical mindset can get by with promoting their absurdity without being immediately ridiculed.  But perhaps it is because the average person instinctively knows it to be mere foolishness and fails to put further thought into it on account of the level of absurdity and perhaps the feeling “I don’t have time to deal with this unsustainable nonsense right now.”

    Everything can be false but not everything can be true and everybody can be wrong but, quite assuredly, not everyone is right.  At the very minimum, someone’s synapses will fail to fire correctly and they will be in error and in need of redirection.  In our day we have strong reason to be suspicious of nearly everything that is being taught in our universities since that is the primary source of so many unsustainable, strange, and illogical ideas in our day.  Actually, I am probably being kinder than I should be with that statement.

    Unfortunately the reason so many of our universities have been taken over by left-wing loonies is that the conservatives tend to get caught up in the task of living in the real world and all the challenges of daily life and because the government run educational system is so convenient it is easy to forget the importance of properly educating and preparing the next generation for life in the real sustainable world while many lefties look at it as a way to indoctrinate highly impressionable youth because their radical unsustainable ideologies were rejected, as they should have been, in the public square.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

The heart of the fool leans to the left; the heart of the wise to the right. – Ecclesiastes 10:2

Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease. – Proverbs 22:10

That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:  That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:   And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God. – Psalm 78: 6-8

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. – Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.  But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;  And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. – 2^nd Timothy 3:12-15

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. – 2^nd Timothy 3:16-17

    God gave us commands in His holy word to be careful in the education of our children and He preserved for our benefit the results of failure to heed His instruction in that regard so that we could learn from the mistakes of others and then hopefully avoid making those same mistakes, that’s sustainability.  Early on in the United States of America the Holy Bible was at the core of our educational curriculum.  It worked quite well for the first 150 years then we got distracted and forgot to remain vigilant and the Bible got pushed to the side then removed and we are now suffering the consequences of those errors. 

    The atonement and substitution of Christ, the personality of the devil, the miraculous element in Scripture, the reality and eternity of future punishment, all these mighty foundation-stones are being coolly tossed overboard as useless.  Stand up for the great visions of genuine Christianity, and you can count on being called narrow, bigoted, old-fashioned, and perhaps even a theological fossil.  Quote a text from the Bible and you can expect to be told that “truth is not confined to the pages of an ancient Jewish book, and that free inquiry has found out many things since The Book was completed.”  Not to mention the many bogus claims of errors which, by the way, have all been debunked so that only the indoctrinated and morally ignorant who tend to fancy themselves wise are the ones who continue to distrust the Holy Bible.  Therefore the left remains in denial of the facts because they are feeling empowered to continue their indoctrination relatively unimpeded and when they begin to reap what they have sowed they will still, by and large, tend to fail to recognize their own responsibility in the consequences they will suffer.

    I know nothing so likely to counteract this plague as constant clear statements about the nature, reality, vileness, power and guilt of sin as high treason against an almighty God.  We must bring home to the consciences of these men of “broad views” and demand a plain answer to some plain questions.  For while they may fancy themselves to be more highly educated than you and I regarding these things, they know not that they know naught.

    Those who have completely consecrated their lives to Christ must tell others and help them to see, that nothing will ever satisfy their soul but submission to the Biblical doctrines and teaching regarding man’s ruin and Christ’s redemption and simple Bible-based faith in the Jesus of that book.  No other Jesus will do.
