The God of Father Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob Loves

An excerpt from “The Holy One Called Isa,” by Pastor Ward Clinton:

2:7  Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies?  Who can forgive sins but God only?

In Jewish theology even the Messiah could not forgive sins and they were sure that Jesus was committing shirk.  However if He really is who He claimed to be then disbelieving is the worst type of shirk of all.  Al-Masihu-Isa (Jesus) is kalimat Allah and wadjih (worthy of esteem in this world and the next) according to the Quran.

2:8  And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

2:9  Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

Since they believed that a person’s sins needed to be forgiven before they could be healed He has chosen to force them to engage their brains.  One purpose of the miracles was to testify to the people precisely who Jesus truly is.

2:10  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

2:11  I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

2:12  And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Jesus saw their faith, He may have smiled as he looked at a faith strong enough to overcome the obstacles and then He looked at the Scribes – the ones who should have had faith.  Now, in part, these fellows were doing their job; they were scrutinizing this itinerant Rabbi to make sure his teaching was okay.  But these were sitting there watching for what they considered to be the slightest mistake so they could blow it all out of proportion rather than allowing themselves to be moved by the working of God which was happening right before their very eyes.

The religious leadership made a connection between sin and disease, not entirely unfounded, but they were a bit misguided.  To them a sick man was a man who had sinned.  They had already heard Jesus preach; they had already seen Jesus heal.  Still they seemed quite unmoved.  Now Jesus won’t allow anyone to remain neutral towards Him.  He has decided to up the ante, therefore he said, “Child your sins are forgiven.”  He has just challenged them head on with that phrase.  They were of the belief that the sin had to be forgiven before one could be healed.  But anyone is capable of saying “your sins are forgiven” and how can it be proved whether the statement was effective or not?  Now on the other hand, to tell the man to get up and walk would demonstrate then and there the authority, effectiveness, and reliability of His word.  Therefore in the tenth verse Jesus lets them know they have to make a choice to either believe in Him or disbelieve.  He has hoisted these experts in the law on their own petard.  It is on their own traditions and stated beliefs this man could not be cured unless he was forgiven.  In effect Jesus has said, “you say I have no right to forgive sins?  You believe that if this man is sick, he is a sinner and cannot be cured until he is forgiven?  Okay, watch this!”  Jesus spoke the word and the man was cured, therefore he must be forgiven and Jesus’ claim to be able to forgive sin must be true.

Jesus probably left them in a baffled rage.  Here was something that had to be dealt with; if this were allowed to continue all their rules and regulations would be turned on their head; maybe even worse, proven to be completely out of step with their Holy Scripture.  So, with this incident, Jesus has signed His own death warrant and He is fully aware of it.  However He is also trying to correct their understanding of God.

They had the Torah (the uncorrupted holy word from the one true God), they knew that God will not let sinners remain unpunished, but they had forgotten that the Torah also showed them a God who desired to exercise mercy and forgiveness.  Remember the pouting prophet in the Old Testament who whined, “I didn’t want to warn those people because I knew You are a merciful God”?

Today, most seem to know that God forgives but they forget there are conditions that must be met… God is holy and just, as well as merciful and forgiving.  He calls us into a holy, loving relationship with Himself which requires that sin be shunned, not embraced with a “Oh well, I’m only human” shrug of the shoulders.

Sibylline Oracles

There is the story of the Cumaean Sibyl who came to King Tarquin offering for sale nine books which she declared would be of great value to him in the government of Rome in that they held the destiny of the world.  She requested 300 pieces of gold which seemed an exorbitant price, and he would not buy them.  He did not recognize that she was a sibyl.  She left and in time she returned and offered him six books for the same price; 300 pieces of gold and again he refused.  She had also informed him at that time that she had burned three of the original nine.  After a time she returned, informed him that she had burned three more of them and 300 pieces of gold were required for the remaining three.  King Tarquin, the last of the Roman Kings was of a mind to forcefully expel her from his presence but his most trusted advisors prevailed upon him to purchase them lest she burn the remainder and in the off-chance that they were legit and contained that which she claimed.

Now, for us Christians, there is a moral to this story: The longer we refuse God’s overtures, the less these overtures contain, while the demand on us is still the same for the remainder.  Perhaps you are thinking, “C’mon, Pastor Ward, why are you bothering me with this old fable?”

Well, my reasoning goes a bit like this; have you ever stopped to wonder why the Romans treated the Jews a bit differently than most conquered people groups?  Well, it is a matter of record that after the King’s counselors studied the books and reported back to King Tarquin he offered the Cumaean Sibyl a very large sum of money if she would reproduce the other books, but she refused.  Those three books were venerated and studied carefully and kept in the Temple of Jove until its destruction by fire in 83 bc.  Those books had in them, among other things, a prophecy regarding the birth of Jesus The Christ.  Most of us Christians fail to realize that the Romans were expecting the arrival of The Messiah at about the time He did arrive.  Yes, I am trying to tell you the whole world was actually anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Holy one of God and yet the majority missed Him because He came God’s way, with God’s agenda, not ours.

It is not always easy to distinguish the truly pious from those who are destitute at the very core of the matter.  Then there is the illustration Jesus used regarding five who were wise and five who were foolish.  They all had lamps.  Outward form is one thing, inward life is quite another.

Every hour of the day and night there are souls going into eternity improperly prepared.  One lies at death’s door, he cannot get his light burning.  He comes up to the gate of heaven; he knocks, he cries:  “Let me in!”  He is not admitted.   He screams: “I want to see the bridegroom.”  The voices within say, “You cannot see the bridegroom, he is busy with His guests now.”  Pleads the man, “I must come in; my children are in there, my beloved mother is there.  I must come in.”  A voice from within says, “You refused the grace that would have brought you in where they are and now it is too late.”  The voice from within says to one outside, “You are twenty years too late;” to another, “You are a month too late;” to another, “You are a minute too late.”  As the outer darkness engulfs them, the mob outside takes up the anguished lament, “Too late, too late.”

pc vs morals

The wise went wholly prepared.  The unwise probably didn’t want to seem to be too fanatical.  He who has the most religion has none to spare.  God calls everyone of us to be fully prepared by being completely consecrated Christians in this life.

The person who truly understands that he is an eternal being living a temporary human existence is the one who most understands his need to be fully prepared for when the transition from this world to the next is to take place.

The Holy One of God is a Miracle Worker, follow Him

Injil Markus 3:9  And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

3:10  For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

Isa healed, He did not kill or order anyone to kill in His name, therefore, He demonstrated the One True God’s compassion and love for mankind.

3:11  And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

3:12  And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

The jinn – shayatin – eblis.  It was not yet time for revealing Isa’s identity fully but the demons/shayatin are not the proper ones for spreading that information, anyway.  The responsibility and privilege of letting others know belongs to those who love and are loved by the one true God.  The disbelievers of Isa need to hear the truth about Isa so that they may likewise become true believers.  There are many “Christians” who are still struggling to find the way more accurately themselves and are in need of further guidance so don’t allow the evil one to discourage you from the path to true righteousness.

3:13  And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

3:14  And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

3:15  And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

Some believers in Isa have the ability to do that even today but most do not because they simply do not know that which they should know, which is a  sad state of affairs.  How much better the world could be if all of Messiah’s followers were more intense in following Him fully and faithfully.

Holy Bible is Superior to Koran

Greetings everyone.  Let us praise the one true God for those who are escaping from the ways that lead to death and eternal darkness to follow in the path of the Holy One of God whose way is the way of life, light, and love and which is, in fact, the way that the One True God desires that each and every person on this earth should go.  Some of us know this already, others need to know therefore we who do know need to pray for them.

Corrupt Imams claim the Bible is corrupt however the Koran does not make any such claim.  Confused people who have merely accepted the claims of corruption could carefully study the Koran for themselves but there is no need for that because the wiser course of action would be to simply accept the challenge of reading the New Testament portion of the Holy Bible and learn the truth about the one whom the Koran calls Isa, the Holy One of God.

Orlando Shooting

Orlando Shooting.jpg

Truth is Wounded Knee was!!! Then there was Waco, 86 Men, women and children, Actually 25 children, 17 of which were under the age of 5. And that was done by a Democrat President, just like the Democrat President of today has been funding ISIS, the organization that is claiming responsibility for the massacre in Orlando. And the “Shooter” involved, has been working for one of the Obama Administration’s top Security Contractors, who have contracted from the Department of Homeland Security, to illegally transport “illegals” that are “Other Than Mexicans” from the Mexican Border with the United States, to Bus stations and other points much deeper into the United States.

Political Correctness is making people reluctant to speak up for fear of reprisals and intimidation for not following along with Democrat group-think.  We are being forced, little by little, to call good “evil” and evil “good”.

Be Blameless By God

God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.  1 Thessalonians 4:7

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God Matt 5:8

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Psalm 119:1

Just as God who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16

May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.  May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Thess 5:23

Get out of the sin daily in thought, word, and deed rut; that has a tendency to not end well.

The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.  Proverbs 11:5          (Bye, bye, Hillary)

The man of integrity walks securely, but the one who takes crooked paths will be found out.  Proverbs 10:9

It is in and through the power of the Holy Spirit that we may be found  to be blameless before God and, being blameless, we are made pure in heart and able to leave the rut and move on to our higher calling.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13

Rejection of Evidence Regarding The Christ

Scripture passage:  Mark 14:62-65    “…and ye shall see the Son of Man….”

The value of The Christ’s Testimony before the High Priest

How was Jesus’ testimony received by the High Priest?  First thing we should notice is that he was complicit in having false witnesses present to manufacture charges against Jesus as well as other improprieties associated with this trial.

So we take notice of the position which the High Priest assumed on this occasion, it is a position which a great many men assume in regard to the evidences of Christianity today.  He had asked the question, “Are you The Christ?”  Was he prepared to accept supporting evidence?  Suppose Jesus had responded in the negative.  Then He would have been an impostor, and would have been led off from there self-condemned.

But, when Jesus said “I AM,” was there any attempt in the mind of the High Priest to permit testimony?  Instead of even pretending to give any pretense of willingness to consider the testimony he condemned Jesus for blasphemy.

In a legitimate trial Jesus could have easily presented plenty of evidence but there was a predetermined position of opposition against Him which precluded any evidence from having an effect.  That is the position of many people today: they’ve taken the position of opposition which precludes any fair pondering of proof; and the testimony of The Christ to His Messiahship in its full meaning, to wit, the only begotten Son of God and Savior of any who will accept that fact accompanied with a preponderance of evidence that would overwhelmingly convince any man of anything except that.  It does not carry any weight with them because they have chosen not to believe.

Even then, the mighty Messiah who manifests miracles could have brought a complete halt to that kangaroo court’s proceedings but then salvation’s wondrous plan would not have been completed.  Jesus was still in charge, but He lets the evil ones run their course.  Never forget, this was not the time of their choosing but He chose the precise date.

Disbelieve in the Jesus of the Holy Bible and no matter what else you do in this life their will be no virgins and no raisins for you, not even one – only the outer darkness of bitter regret.  Embrace the Jesus of the Holy Bible while you can because He cares for you.

What are You? Why are you what you are?

Matthew 13:36-40  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. – Jesus, The Christ, as recorded in the Holy Bible

A common saying among the tares is,

“We are all children of God.”

  However that is not what the Scripture or Jesus teaches;

all those who are not genuine followers of The Christ, howsoever good or moral they may seem to be are counted as tares by God and will meet the end appointed unto tares unless they let God “genetically modify” them.  In that same vein, do not kid yourself, it is as though we continue to carry a dormant gene that may become reactivated by the enemy of our soul if we do not stay in close contact with our Savior and Lord.

Stay connected to the vine and be blessed
