I’ve heard countless times from liberal anti-Christians: The Bible wants us to pay higher taxes in order to help the poor. By receiving a tax cut, we are taking money away from the poor. Especially by cutting entitlements, which is supposed to be the next step for Republicans in Congress, we are shirking our Christian responsibility to care for the least of these. This is the leftist’s argument for Socialism, and anti-Christian socialists have been making it for decades.

Christ never established or suggests or endorses any State-sponsored system by which these things will be achieved. He makes it much simpler for us. He puts the onus not on politicians or bureaucrats but on someone else entirely: you.

Christ wants you to take your own money and give it to the needy in your community. No matter the tax rate, this obligation is not fulfilled — it does not even begin to be fulfilled — by paying your taxes. It especially is not fulfilled by sitting to the side while your neighbor pays his taxes and shoulders more of the so-called “charity” burden than you.

PARDON MY WEDNESDAY MORNING CYNICISM, BUT…

People at NBC News have worked closely with Matt Lauer for more than 20 years. Am I supposed to believe them when they tell me that they just discovered on Monday night that he’s apparently incapable of acting like a gentleman should, around female colleagues he works with?

I’m sorry. I don’t believe that.

What I do believe is that big time media and entertainment figures, and big time politicians, have long considered the right to behave in an atrocious manner toward anyone they are sexually attracted to, to be one of the perks of their celebrity. I also believe that big time media companies have long considered paying victims of behavior among their stars, ranging from sexual harassment to rape, substantial civil settlements to be part of their cost of doing business.

I don’t think anyone should be surprised that Matt Lauer’s former employer, NBC News, admits that the complaint they received about sexual misconduct by Lauer, that they say they investigated and believe to be true, is not the first complaint of that kind they received about Lauer.

But, and again, pardon my Wednesday morning cynicism, if “The Today Show” now were as clearly profitable, and dominant in the ratings, as it has been in past, would corporate NBC continue to employ Matt Lauer, and continue to cover up his sexually abusive behavior, and pay his victims civil settlements, to ensure their silence???

I believe corporate NBC would do that.

This whole Roy Moore thing turns out to have a silver lining.
Moore has managed single-handedly to bring down the Sodom and Gomorrah sector of of American society! Accusations and stammered excuses are flying everywhere, and all Moore has to do is sit back and enjoy! And all of his supporters as well!
Let the left-wing liberal Democrat fur fly, and maybe PETA will clean it up!
Never intercede when your enemy is busy destroying himself!

Texas Church Shooting

ABOUT THE TEXAS SHOOTER. #texaschurchshooting shooter is 29-year-old US dishonerably discharged from the Air Force; although there are some reports that he was formerly in the Marines.  There is a claim making the rounds that he was actually a Christian – EXTREMELY UNLIKELY, facebook removed his page which is not something they would have done if he were a Christian.  Left-leaning Facebook would have hyped that if it were accurate; far more likely that he was a militant atheist or fundamental Muslim convert with ISIS sympathies as some other reports are claiming

There you have it liberals. Wipe the smiles off your faces and don’t blame this on gun control, there are other issues related to this incident, and the fact that you were so quick to lay blame rather than make excuses leads me to believe that when the truth actually comes to light your evil hearts will be exposed once again and you already know it which is why you are “blowing smoke.”
