Major congratulations to the Trump administration,. After nine months of high-level negotiations — without a leak — Greenland is officially and *permanently* a protectorate of the US. It’s not called that, but functionally that is exactly what just happened, including all the waters around Greenland.

Unrestricted military bases, activity, and control, with neither Copenhagen or Nuuk having any say in the matter. Ever. Economic development MAY be cooperative when mutually advantageous, but may also be unilaterally American.

Canada’s Prime Minister Carney, who thought he was in the driver’s seat especially with his proposed “associate” membership in the EU — which had a great deal to do with Greenland — was totally out-manœuvred, and had no clue discussions were even happening. A Double-A hitter going up against Major League pitching.

As an Important side note, with Greenland secured, Canada is now completely irrelevant to the Department of War’s ‘Golden Dome’ space defemce shield for anything coming from Russia or China. It was no accident that just before the Greenland Protectorate announcement, the US Space Force announced that it *already* had an assortment of offensive and defensive weapons actively on orbit.

Nearly perfect interlocking “field of fire”. which in this case is actually more useful for *incoming target* solutions. My map below shows this clearly. This is one of the top achievements of the  current administration, and anyone who attempts to reverse it should be hanged for genuine Treason,  not the social-media type.
