Report from Math Scholars Shows U.S. is Dropping STEM Competency in Favor of “Diversity” and “Social Justice”

According to a Breitbart News Article detailing the “deplorable” state of American education, the U.S. is falling further and further behind China in K-12 education in the core science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The article discusses the findings of three math scholars who immigrated to the U.S. as young students who are now greatly concerned about the falling status of the country in STEM subjects.

The scholars warned Americans that the country’s education policies are so counterproductive that our schools are becoming less attractive than even Chinese education, even though China’s schools are founded on strict and unfree academic principles.

Math education in K-12 public schools is leaving comparatively few American children prepared for STEM careers. American programs are therefore left dependent on new international students to keep programs competitive, especially those from Asia and India.

Data from 2017 shows that 81% of graduate students in American electrical engineering programs came from outside the country, while 79% of computer science graduate students came from outside the county.  And at least two-thirds of STEM faculty in American graduate programs are foreign-born.

This is being caused in large part by the increasing national focus in American schools on diversity and social justice at the expense of STEM education.  Asian-Americans have been especially singled out to feel the sting of discrimination as a result.  Illogically, Math is more and more frequently deemed to be “racist.”  Diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, especially CRT, stifle development in STEM programs, especially in mathematics.

California’s math “equity” programs could close the path to high school calculus except to students whose parents secure extracurricular math training for them.  The implication for students from lower-income families is obvious, or should be.  Without at least introductory Algebra, the students will be entirely unprepared for undergraduate STEM programs.

The “education establishment” in control of public school is unaware of or unconcerned with the standard requirements of college STEM academic programs.  Their “dumbing-down” through education reforms has degraded math training to the point that it is challenging to distinguish capable students from those unprepared to go forward.  Now we find that most U.S. K-12 math teachers have been trained in programs that have shifted from substantive mathematics to identity politics and social justice causes.  Other advanced nations are not as beset with certification training and establishment qualifications.

In 2018 China’s 15-year-old students were ranked first in mathematics while USA ranked twenty-fifth. If you’re part of the “Deep State,” you are thrilled because it means you probably cannot be toppled from your elitist pillar of power over the people anytime soon.

We now know what has long been an open secret, that it was Lt. Michael Byrd of the U.S. Capitol Police who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6. In his interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, Byrd was inconsistent in his grasp of the facts, self-contradictory, and ill-informed on the law governing police use of force. If this is how he performed under Holt’s gentle questioning, it’s easy to speculate on how he would hold up under cross-examination by a competent and even mildly aggressive attorney, and I am more confident than ever that the government will settle with Babbitt’s family rather than risk a trial featuring Byrd as the key witness.

CDC Forced to Admit to Publishing False Florida COVID Numbers

Faced with reality, the CDC quietly admitted on Aug 11, 2021 that the Florida numbers they had trumpeted loudly on the 8th of August were wrong.

Without giving any reason for the inaccurate count, the CDC, in a typical attempt at shifting the blame, said it would work with Florida to correct their reporting.

The corporate press reacted as programmed, savagely attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Department of Health for having stood up to the CDC’s falsified numbers.

Whether it was because of incompetence or a willful miscalculation, the CDC did nothing to improve its public image in the last week. Americans deserve better government and accountability for the mistrust and panic caused when agencies like the CDC continue to show why their credibility is in the tank.

If it were really about your health, the CDC would demand closure of the southern border.

8-12-21, Blue States Lagging Behind

The latest unemployment numbers reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show that Democrat-controlled states and the District of Columbia have the top ten highest rates locked down. The report covers June and shows that the state has the highest New Mexico rate at 7.9 percent.

Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Hawaii, California, New Jersey, Illinois, D.C., and Pennsylvania are the following nine. All of these high unemployment states are continuing their participation in the federal government’s enhanced unemployment benefits program, paying beneficiaries $300 per week in addition to the state benefits they are receiving.

The nation’s lowest unemployment rate is found in Nebraska at 2.5 percent. The rest of the ten states with the lowest rates are Utah, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Idaho, Vermont, Alabama, Kansas, Montana, and Oklahoma.

White House COVID coverup

Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, occasionally receives an unfavorable question. It doesn’t often happen with the corporate media members who make up practically all of the White House press corps, but Psaki is eager to show how difficult she can be in return when it does.

On July 23, Psaki was forced to deal with an unpleasant topic. She was pressed on why the Biden administration is refusing to reveal how many people inside the White House are infected with COVID.

It is believed that there is a current spike in infections that may be the result of the visit from renegade Texas Democratic state legislators who fled Austin to delay a vote there on a state election integrity law.

Psaki was asked, “This administration has long claimed that you’re trying to be the most transparent in history. If that’s the case, why don’t you release the number of breakthrough cases that you have with vaccinated staffers?”

She fumbled through a non-response, saying the country is in “a very different place” than six or seven months ago.

The reporter pressed on, asking, “Why not just provide the number? Are you trying to hide something?”

Through a look of disbelief, Psaki quipped, “Why do you need to have that information?”

The reporter answered Psaki with, “Transparency. The interest of the public. A better understanding of how breakthrough cases work here in the White House.”

Psaki then failed to answer the question and instead rambled into a statement of how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention manages COVID tracking everywhere other than inside the White House.

The clear message is that the White House believes there is no reason for the public to inquire about a suspected COVID outbreak among vaccinated personnel or other people inside the facility.

Whether the administration fears that accurate reporting will complicate its carefully constructed vaccine narrative is left to the imagination of concerned Americans. However, when exact numbers are finally revealed, the White House policy of denial and secrecy is bound to cause more problems than it avoids.
