Wait and Tread Water

A few years ago I almost drowned in a storm at sea in the Gulf of Mexico when I found myself swimming far from shore, having tried to reach my drifting boat.  I got into that predicament through my own stupidity, something not unusual at all.  I can remember saying, “Well, this is it.”  The waves were seven or eight feet high, and the sky was dark with gale force winds and lightning.  I was drifting out to sea when the Word of the Lord came to me and saved my life.  What I thought He said was, “I’m here, Larson, and you’re not coming home as soon as you think.  Can you tread water?”  Somehow that had never occurred to me.  Had I continued my frantic effort to swim back to shore, I would have exhausted my strength and gone down..

In all sorts of situations we can make matters worse by our frantic efforts to save ourselves when God is trying to tell us, “Stand still.”  We have gotten ourselves into a hopeless situation and the more we do the worse it gets.

Political Correctness is killing us bit by bit.  We must stop it and return to the God of our fathers.

Stacey Dash on Orlando Terrorist Attack

There are so many places this could have been stopped or at least mitigated greatly. I just boggles the mind all the areas that failed for the tragedy to happen.  Political Correctness prevented his coworkers from being able to properly report his attitudes and actions.  Political Correctness hindered the security company from firing him.  FBI failed its job due to Political Correctness.  The mosque the Muslim Terrorist attended is known to have produced more than one “Radical Muslim” but Political Correctness prevents doing anything about it.

Time to stop the PC stupidity and pray 2nd Chronicles 7:14

Be Blameless By God

God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.  1 Thessalonians 4:7

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God Matt 5:8

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Psalm 119:1

Just as God who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16

May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.  May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Thess 5:23

Get out of the sin daily in thought, word, and deed rut; that has a tendency to not end well.

The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.  Proverbs 11:5          (Bye, bye, Hillary)

The man of integrity walks securely, but the one who takes crooked paths will be found out.  Proverbs 10:9

It is in and through the power of the Holy Spirit that we may be found  to be blameless before God and, being blameless, we are made pure in heart and able to leave the rut and move on to our higher calling.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13
