Keep this Book of the Law on your lips: meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:8-9)
God’s word imparts strength and courage. When we base our lives on His instructions and believe that what He tells us is true, we can have confidence to face great challenges, knowing He is with us. As you might have noticed, God does not usually remove obstacles from our lives, but He helps us as we walk through danger and trouble. In Joshua 1 we are given three keys to success: Obedience, faith and courage. We will need all three of these in great measure as we walk through the difficulties that lie ahead of us.
In America, we don’t do mandates.
Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. – Psalm 140:8
Let not those that beset me lift up the head, “Let the mischief of their own lips cover them,” i.e., let the evil they desire to bring upon me fall upon themselves like burning coals. Do not allow them, O Lord, to see the ruin of my interest, which they strongly desire to see but hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplications. In that Psalm, David prayed that the projects and schemes might not succeed but be blasted away. Let not Providence, divine Providence, favor any of the lefties’ designs, but cross them up and prevent the from succeeding in any shape, way, or form with their wicked schemes, break their wheels, mire them in their own muck, and stop them in the career of their own vile pursuits.
The leftists are claiming that their god is blessing them and granting them success, therefore, it is important for our God to defeat them with a resounding defeat lest they drag other hapless souls down into sheol with them.
My fellow Christ followers it is time for us to seriously pray for the disempowerment of all the leftists (the wicked) from any position of influence.
The reason we have 17000 pages in our law books is because we cannot follow 10 lines on a tablet made of stone.
Suppose, then, that all men were sick or deranged, save one or two of them who were healthy and of right mind. It would then be the latter two who would be thought to be sick and deranged and the former not! – Aristotle
That is the world we live in. That explains why the left tends to strongly dislike and disparage Christianity and then seemingly embrace Islam.
When I read the details of Sodom and Gomorrah in Gods word I see many parallels to the big cities of today all over the world, and now even small towns in many areas. There is so much Corruption and Perversion in the world it looks a lot like Sodom and Gomorrah in spades. In fact what is it they call Las Vegas, sin city. But Las Vegas is not the only place where most all manner of perversions have been made legal, what is the saying ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’. And the growing appetite for perversion in the world is horrifyingly evident. And I see the sins of the world are huge.
As I read these passages I also see God’s great compassion and mercy for his creation. And his disdain for their corruptability. I see while he is not overly concerned with the carbon form of the human body, his real concern is for the spirit within. I also know from God’s word that he wants each of us to choose good over evil and work out our own salvation. As always I tell you don’t take my word for it read God’s word for yourself. Pray daily that God will give you the knowledge and understanding of his truth, God’s word is truth. Proverbs 4 all, God practically begs us and in warning to heed his word. It has been my observation that people are so caught up in self, they say “no one is going to tell me what to do or how to act.” And that my fellow humans is exactly the thoughts of satan. Satan wants us to believe that it’s ok to do whatever we want and there should be no consequence. But God shows us in Proverbs 4 that there is consequence to everything you do be it good or evil. For if you do right there is good consequence but if you do evil there is ill consequence. Unbridled actions is chaos.
