When Donald Trump was a private citizen, a government contractor stole his private tax data and leaked it to the media. Because the government failed to protect his private records, Trump and his family sued the IRS for $10 billion.
On May 18, 2026, the Justice Department settled the case. Trump agreed to walk away with zero dollars for himself. In exchange, the government put $1.776 billion into an “Anti-Weaponization Fund” to help ordinary citizens who say they were also unfairly targeted by federal agencies. The government also agreed to completely drop its ongoing tax audits against Trump’s businesses.
Trump declined $10 billion he was statutorily entitled to under 26 U.S.C. § 7431 and converted it into a compensation pool for other citizens, so calling this a corrupt enrichment scheme is factually backwards.
If anyone else got that award they would have taken it and ran. Joe Biden and every other Democrat out there.
The fund’s text explicitly says “there are no partisan requirements to file a claim,” meaning Democrats, independents, and Republicans are equally eligible.
The audit waiver is bound to pre-May-18-2026 conduct, not “perpetuity immunity forever” as the ridiculous media and out of job former attorney Liz Oyer claims.
Biden pardoned Hunter for crimes he was actually convicted of and Jim Biden while Jim was under two active federal investigations, with an 11-year window and zero public-facing remedy and the same commentators called that defensible. Literally.
So the Biden family could issue pardon for crimes committed and active investigations but Trump, who was actually agreed and is statutory entitled to this money set up a fund to help Americans who were victims of political persecution, and the demented media is calling it some kind of corrupt act?
Of course that same demented media wants judicial oversight. Would that be the judicial oversight that consistently rules incorrectly in any case involving Trump and gets overruled sometimes 9-0 at the Supreme Court?
Not one prior U.S. president has faced this volume of criminal prosecution, civil litigation, and unauthorized disclosure of confidential financial records simultaneously, so pretending this is a normal political cycle is dishonest bs.
The Obama administration used the exact same Judgment Fund mechanism in Keepseagle $760M, no congressional appropriation and the press called that justice. But it was actually much worse because in the Obama case this settlement was made against the advice of career DOJ officials who thought they could win at court.
Trump personally receives zero dollars, zero damages, and zero direct financial benefit from the settlement the only thing he gets is the audit waiver as protect protection so he won’t be targeted by the same Weaponized government should they ever get power again.
Congress will never legislatively compensate Jan 6 defendants, FACE Act defendants, or dismissed-case targets, so the choice was this fund or no remedy at all for documented victims of politically motivated federal action.
The media is very dishonest in this country and there’s a lot of experts who are even more dishonest. I am not an expert at anything except research and common sense. It is just basic common sense that when you have a president issue blanket, pardons for crimes that nobody even knows about that may or may not have been committed on his way out, and the media doesn’t bat an eye, but then you have a president who is actually wronged and who uses his settlement money to help those who are also politically persecuted smeared as corrupt the problem is the media.

On January 6th I followed the crowd into the Capitol and shouted. Police stood by the whole time, hanging out with us and sometimes directing us places.
At one point near the House Chambers I was walking downstairs when a trio of some special section, secret service looking men started pointing guns in my direction.
Confused and annoyed, I walked the other way and when I saw a normal police officer asked him why they were doing that.
He informed me a protestor (Ashli Babbit) had been killed, and advised me to leave the building.
I walked towards the exit and after a short rest on the bench I left.
I harmed nobody and damaged no property that day and complied with all police orders.
What I received for that was a pre-dawn raid at my parents house, where my 1 month post-partum wife and I were staying, on Biden’s first day in office. His DOJ had signed the order to arrest me 3 hours after his inauguration.
In the subsequent weeks I received death threats online and harassing phone calls, something that would be ongoing for the next few years.
I was banned from Meta and Paypal. My wife and I were both debanked by PNC and banned from Airbnb. My wife was detained at the airport for hours with our newborn daughter.
I was charged with 4 misdemeanors and the 1512 unconstitutional felony. The government offered to drop the misdemeanors if I pled to the felony. The felony was a lie, so I refused and went to trial.
At trial the prosecution for 2 days straight was allowed to show footage to the jury of things that occurred around the Capitol I wasn’t present for “for context.” When we asked to put forward footage that contradicted the prosecution’s “context” we were not allowed. They could show what they wanted, we could not.
Police officers were then put on the stand for the next 2 days who cried about their experiences. I had no idea who they were. They admitted they never saw me or interacted with me.
Nevertheless like every other J6er, I lost, and was sentenced to 4 years and $22k in fines and restitution. Yet even after the Supreme Court overturned the felony, the judge would not let me out until my misdemeanor sentences of a year were maxed out. Because she can’t count she actually kept me in longer – to the extent she intervened at the last minute to make the prison release me on a Sunday, something that is against BOP rules. My family sat outside the prison gates the Friday before practically the whole day waiting in vain because of this pettiness.
But the government wasn’t satisfied with their pound of flesh: after my release they took me back in for resentencing, to attempt to have me resentenced after the fact to my misdemeanors consecutively, so I’d be taken from my family again and have another 1.5 years behind bars. This time I won, as they had no legal precedent and it skirted on violating double jeopardy since I had served my full prison time. Even still, it cast a cloud over the holidays and cost me another 20k my family couldn’t afford.
People ask whether prison was bad, and yeah of course prison sucked. It was a hard and violent place. I was present for a stabbing, and was lucky to avoid two fights and a race war.
But dealing with Biden’s DOJ and the DC Judiciary was the real trauma – they would grind down your spirit by weaponizing the legal system and use the endless procedure to bankrupt you. I had nightmares for months after release that I had somehow been hit with new charges.
By the time I was pardoned by President Trump, I had spent literally every single day of Biden’s presidency either in prison or under some form of supervision. I had incurred over $300k in legal fees and over $1 million in lost business.
It was a reign of terror, and yet it was a mere foreshadowing of what they had planned for anyone else who opposed them under Kamala. The country should never forget it.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, Democrat of Texas, just delivered her latest dramatic monologue about American democracy, and it’s a beauty.
“Yeah, this is exactly what happens when democracies are in free fall. And that’s exactly what we’re experiencing,” Crockett said in an interview on MSNOW.
What set off this five alarm constitutional crisis? Republican states redrawing congressional maps. That’s it. That’s the emergency.
Funny thing, Congresswoman, the same gerrymandering tactic has been the bread and butter of your party for decades.
California just rammed through Proposition 50 last November so Gavin Newsom could redraw maps and crush Republican seats.
Illinois has cartoon shaped districts that would make Picasso blush.
Massachusetts somehow elects zero Republicans to Congress despite roughly a third of the state voting GOP every cycle.
New York Democrats have tried so many partisan gerrymanders the courts had to step in and slap them down.
But when Texas, Missouri, or North Carolina do exactly what blue states have done for years, suddenly the Republic is collapsing and Jasmine Crockett is on cable news playing the part of a constitutional scholar.
She and the rest of her friends are clowns, and not even funny ones. More like the kind that show up uninvited at 3 AM standing at the foot of your bed. Scary clowns.
The Founders understood this exact dynamic. In Federalist No. 53, Madison warned that frequent elections were the safeguard against representatives who forget who sent them.
Crockett and her colleagues have not forgotten, they simply do not care, because the cameras are rolling and the donor class is watching.
Here is the part the corporate press will not touch.
Democrats spent the last decade insisting the popular vote was the only legitimate measure of democracy, right up until they started losing it.
Now the goalposts have moved again, and the new rule is whatever benefits Democrats is democracy and whatever does not is fascism.
If gerrymandering is the death of democracy, why does it only count when Republicans do it?
