Professing Themselves to be Wise, They Became Fools

This is so incredibly ridiculous that it almost reads like parody.

The WNBA is the Women’s National Basketball Association. The entire point of the league is that it exists for women. Yet the league is now holding discussions over transgender eligibility while saying there are “no immediate eligibility matters” and denouncing what it calls “bad-faith efforts” around the issue. The league’s own collective bargaining agreement says only women are eligible to play, but reporting on the controversy notes that it does not define the term.

How did women’s professional basketball get to the point where “who is a woman?” requires meetings, task forces and corporate language?

This is also a breathtaking missed opportunity.

Caitlin Clark helped bring enormous attention to the league. The WNBA itself called 2024 a record-setting season, with its highest attendance in 22 years, record television audiences, record merchandise sales, and a single-season attendance record for the Indiana Fever. Clark’s rookie season was at the center of that explosion in interest.

The league had momentum. It had new fans. It had people watching women’s basketball who had never cared before.

Instead of protecting that opportunity, WNBA leadership and some of its coaches have allowed the league to become a progressive political shitshow.

Then came the Sophie Cunningham incident. Chicago’s DiJonai Carrington struck Cunningham in the head and neck, the foul was reviewed and upgraded to a Flagrant 2 because officials found windup, impact and follow-through. Carrington, who is Black, later posted “WHITE PRIVILEGE” and tagged the Fever, although she later said she was not claiming the foul call itself was white privilege.

And somehow the conversation again became about rhetoric, divisiveness and everyone’s feelings instead of simply defending the women who are supposed to be the reason this league exists.

Now former NBA players are making a mockery of the eligibility loophole just to force the question the WNBA should have answered immediately.

Biological women. Period.

She actually said that as she tried to defend the idea that the 14th ammendment applied to illegal aliens who have no intention of assimilating into the American culture.

She also attempted to quote a Senate debate from the 1800s, then admitted that she has no idea if the people she was “quoting” were even senators.

And she acturally used a quote that hurt her argument.  Her cornbread definitely ain’t done in the middle and  she has clearly proven herself to be almost as sharp as a marble.  Wonder if she even knows what a woman is yet?

Someone has pointed out that her statement quoted in the pic above is so ghetto.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s latest comments are not just confusing, they are a flashing warning sign. Comparing a tourist obeying local laws in a foreign country to “allegiance” is a fundamental distortion of what allegiance actually means.

This isn’t a close call or a nuanced debate. It’s a basic concept, and getting it this wrong at the highest level of the judiciary should alarm every American.

Instead of clear constitutional reasoning, we’re getting word games that stretch definitions to justify bigger government power and looser interpretations of citizenship.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is supremely unqualified to be on the Supreme Court but she is exactly the type of justice Democrats will appoint next time they get the chance.

Why would we expect anything better than this from a DEI hire?  I’ve caught fish with a higher IQ than her; she couldn’t even define what a woman is at her confirmation hearing, yes, that is who she is.

White Horse of Revelation 6

Commentators and speculators have been busy attempting to identify its rider.  It is tempting to identify him with the Rider of the white horse in Revelation 19:11.  Tempting but the two riders are clearly different persons. 

A crown given indicates that he overcomes with the approval of God, because it is fitting in with His plans.  It does not mean that God approves of all his acts and motives, but that He permits his performance and may even work in the background to assist in causing things to fall in place based on prayers of genuine Christ follower’s prayers of intercession.

Shortly after this rider has established a peaceful period, the rider of the red horse makes an end to it.

My use of the term “shortly” reflects an indefinite time frame.  I don’t currently have an insight as to how long the white horse’s peace will last.

President Trump may very well be the rider of the white horse while Joe Biden was a foreshadowing of the one who will actually be the rider of the red horse.

Fortunately, Joe was rather low energy and took lots of “vacation time” while he was occupying the oval office thereby limiting the amount of damage he was able to do.

Trump was miraculously spared by the hand of God from assassination attempts for such a time as this.
