Reconciliation to God

The destruction of the person at odds with God is assured; however, practically everyone is aware of the “grace note”.  God takes no pleasure in the destruction of those deemed wicked.  Therefore, even in the midst of the threatening of the wrath of God upon disobedient persons He holds forth the possibility that with repentance the reconciliation between man and God can take place.

Reconciliation

    Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,  envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  (Galatians 5:19-21)

Every one of us is an omelet, there is a lot of good in us … well most of us (don’t look around) …but there is some bad in us too and that makes us unfit for the presence of The Supreme Being.

  But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all your conduct; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1st Peter 1:15-16)

“It is not a little dislike, but thorough hatred which God bears to workers of iniquity.  To be hated of God is an awful thing.  O let us be very faithful in warning the wicked around us, for it will be a terrible thing for them to fall into the hands of an angry God” — C. H. Spurgeon.  Light cannot have communion (commingle) with darkness, they are totally incompatible.

Therefore if you are not a Christian at this point in time you’ve got a serious problem according to God’s Word, the Holy Bible; but the remedy is available – commit yourself to Jesus.  It is simpler than most folk realize.

  I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.  (Galatians 5:16)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1)

But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.  (Galatians 5:22-23)

Fallen man has come under the wrath of God but that is not what we were created for.  We were created for fellowship with Him and that is what He still longs for and the reason He made the way for us to be reconciled to Him.  “The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2nd Peter 3:9)

Those who fail to heed God’s commands and are not actively abiding in Christ Jesus prior to their departure from this world will hear “Depart from Me you cursed into everlasting fire” (Matt 25:41)  What is usually not realized is that this will be spoken from a broken heart for God Himself has stated that He has no delight in the death of the wicked and longs to be able to welcome you into His heaven but, you see, His Justice, coupled with His other divine attributes, prevents those who have not been reconciled through His Son to gain entrance into that holy place.

Perhaps this illustration will help:  God has a peanut allergy.  For those of us who are not allergic to peanuts this may not make a whole lot of sense but bear with me.  I enjoy a good PB&J sandwich occasionally and I’ve eaten one in the presence of someone who was allergic to peanuts and he sort of went flakey.  For me, his reaction certainly seemed to me to be a little illogical, but for him he knows what ingesting only a little bit of peanut product will do to him and he wanted to put distance between himself and that “hazardous” substance.  Now the Holy Bible tells me that there was at one time a “hazardous substance” in heaven.  It was found in the heart of Lucifer and it cost God one-third of His angels.  He is not going to permit Heaven to ever be polluted again.  Now, we are, in essence, saturated through and through with peanut oil and the only cure, the only way to get rid of it, is Jesus.  Buddha brand aspirin won’t work, pagan pepto stuff won’t work; nor will churchy chlorine sans Christ or anything else you can come up with.  Jesus is the only cleansing/purifying agent who can remove all the impurities that are in us and make us fit for heaven.

Reconciliation

The third chapter of Genesis explains why human history is written in the ink of blood and tears.  This should not be confused with the idea that we are being punished for Adam’s sin (if considering him as a private person) we suffer for our own sins but Adam was the federal head of the human race.  Adam acted, not for himself alone, but for all who were to spring from him, so that his act was, judicially constituted, our act.

The corruption of the nature of all the offspring of Adam is referred to as original sin, or depravity, and demonstrates itself in a tendency towards evil, and that continually.  That tendency remains in the person who has decided and is following Christ Jesus until cleansing is provided by baptism through God’s Holy Spirit.  Some refer to it as pursuing purity, others as Christian maturity, still others prefer to state it as entire sanctification.  Keeping the concept simple; when a person becomes a Christ Follower they proclaim that “Jesus is my co-pilot” whereas the fully committed Christian humbly acknowledges Jesus as “The Pilot”.

By his act of disobedience in Eden man had effectively declared unbelief in the trustworthiness of the Word of God and decided to take control of his own destiny.  Only later did he realize that he had unwittingly submitted to the enemy of his soul rather than maintaining his trust in the One who loved him.  Sin broke the happy relationship which originally existed between man and his rightful lord.  The fact that we continue disobeying the law of God demonstrates our oneness with Adam.  Our complicity with Adam in his rebellion is evidenced every time we personally sin against God.

Actual sin or personal sin is a voluntary violation of a known law of God by a morally responsible person.  This should not be confused with involuntary shortcomings, infirmities, faults, mistakes, failures or other deviations from a standard of perfect conduct that are the residual effects of the fall.  However, such innocent effects do not include attitudes or responses contrary to the spirit of Christ, which may be properly called sins of the spirit.

Thankfully, for every one of us, God sets the rules, not we.  See Matthew 18:23-35 in His guidebook, the Holy Bible, also known as the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

Unfortunately for fallen, unreconciled man, physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, expulsion from the earth, not annihilation.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures forever. (Psalm 111:10)

Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord, since they would not accept my advice and spurned My rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.  For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm. (Proverbs 1:29-33)

You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell.  The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong. (Psalm 5:4-5)

One of the really disturbing sayings among those not actively following the ways and teachings of Jesus is that they will be with all their friends in hell but the children of light, those who have placed their faith in Jesus and are actively obeying Him, are aware that no soul in the place of torment will have any friends due to the fact that they will be blaming each other for their own failure to appropriate Christ Jesus as their own personal Savior and vehicle of reconciliation to God.

The ancient Rabbins held that the law we find delineated for us in Deuteronomy 22:6 was the least of God’s laws and the violation of even that one law results in a person being counted guilty as if violating the whole Law.  After all, a careful study of the Holy Scripture reveals no Biblical authority for believing there is any such thing as a little sin; an insignificant sin.  It is the solemn declaration that those who have despised God’s authority and trampled His commandments beneath their feet are exposed to the Divine displeasure and to the well deserved and completely appropriate punishment as the expression of that displeasure.

  “For whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. (James 2:10)

Did you catch that?  One single transgression against the law of God is all that it takes to establish a person in the category of the wicked.  Some folks think, or are hoping that, if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds they’ll be okay.  That is not the way God does things.

God sets the rules, not mankind.  God does not grade on a curve.  The first six chapters of Romans in the Holy Bible lays out clearly and concisely that every person on the face of this planet, whether Jew or Gentile [the Biblical way of saying “all races, all people groups”], prior to reconciliation with God through His divinely provided remedy is categorized for eternal separation from the One, True, Holy God.  We all love to quote John 3:16, and that’s good, but we must not overlook the verses immediately following:

    For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.  He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.  And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.

For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God. (John 3:17-21)

A word of encouragement to our pastors, who, now more than ever, are on the front lines of the culture war given the assault on marriage and religious liberty.

John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, a lesser-known hero of the War for Independence, was a pastor and a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses. In 1775, he preached a sermon on Ecclesiastes 3:1 — “For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.”

Pastor Muhlenberg closed his sermon with these words:

“In the language of Holy Writ, there is a time for all things. There is a time to preach and a time to fight. And now is the time to fight.”
He then removed his clerical robes and revealed to the congregation that he was wearing the uniform of an officer in the Continental Army.

Pastor Muhlenberg’s example of a man of God fighting for our God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should give increased fervor and devotion most especially to those who lead us in the fight for faith, family and freedom.

I consider the government of the United States as interdicted by the Constitution from inter-meddling with religious institutions, their doctrines, discipline, or exercises. This results not only from the provision that no law shall be made respecting the establishment or free exercise of religion, but from that also which reserves to the States the powers not delegated to the United States. Certainly, no power to prescribe any religious exercise or to assume authority in any religious discipline has been delegated to the General Government. It must then rest with the States.

It is times like this that we need to strengthen ourselves by reading the book most hated by liberals which was penned by their greatest enemy whom they can never defeat.

Choudray’s threat

No, it is not paranoia when they actually are trying to kill you.

Anjem Choudray has announced the things that Islam will outlaw when it takes over.  Among them are:

Alcohol  Pork  Gambling  Porn  Usury  Promiscuity  Freemixing  Gays  Cinemas  Idolatry  Insurance  Stocks/shares  Insulting Prophets.

But apparently pedophilia will still be accepted.  Freemixing is integration, oh we can’t have that according to Islamic teaching.

Islam sucks

  The alcohol one is kind of funny because Choudray has been known to down more than his share of alcoholic beverages.  It is true, however, that all the evidence is from a few years back but Moslems are known to sneak off to strip bars and imbibe in a few drinks.  “Promiscuity,” now there is another duplicitous term they seem to like in that only women are required to be chaste but even that has a hypocritical multiple level standard.

  If a woman is a paid prostitute or stripper then she is relatively safe from the morality police.  I don’t know for sure how that works.  If a woman is raped she faces stoning while the man, or men, can usually count on walking away scot-free.  Then there is the problem of being improperly chaperoned.

The fact of the matter is that almost everything on Choudray’s list has multiple levels of hypocritical enforcements and/or allowances.  But that is the Moslem way of doing things.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering.  No, I’m not your standard run-of-the-mill pastor, I have been in many countries and rubbed shoulders with many cultures.

The only prophet Moslems actually care about is Muhammad.  “Insult” Mohammad and they fly into a murderous rage; insult Jesus and they really don’t much care.  If Moslems actually believed what the Koran teaches then they would have to recognize their obligation to study the New Testament portion of the Holy Bible because Jesus is the holy one of God, according to the Koran, and he will return to earth, according to the Koran, which makes him, Jesus, the actual “last ‘prophet’ of the one true God,” not Mohammad.

The Chattanooga shooter’s manifesto, among other things, revealed the Moslem belief that there is a test coming at the end of this earth-bound life.  Warning!  Failure to study the Injil guarantees you will fail the test!  Study of the Koran is not sufficient; you must study the Injil (New Testament portion of the Holy Bible) and unlock its secret in order to gain paradise.

Wake up, everyone

It has also been added to the arsenal of the PC police to silence dissent that could lead to the awakening of the American people who are going about their personal business not really aware of the looming disaster that is stealthily approaching.

PC is Thought Control

Say that “Bestiality Is Wrong” or “Polygamy Is Wrong” and it’s not considered hate speech, at least not currently.  However if you have the opinion that “Gay Marriage Is Wrong,” watch out!  It is going to feel like the whole world is jumping up and down screaming “racist” “bigot” and “hater” at you as they call for someone to grab a rope so they can deal with you. [hashtag, love wins], of course.

This is becoming the politically-correct norm, but no matter what one argues, this is the suppressing of free speech by hate-filled fascists.  Yes, they are very fascistic in their so-called “tolerance” which is tolerant of only those who think exactly like they do, hence they are fascists pretending to be open-minded.

No one targeted pro-gay bakeries, but gay activists target Christian bakeries for extermination. “Support Gay Marriage” is what one Christian bakery was sued for because they dared to refuse to put that slogan on a cake for an event to support the gay agenda. Yes, Christian bakeries that refuse to make pro-homosexual marriage cakes because of their deeply held religious beliefs are getting sued for being “intolerant.”  They get fined, they get death threats, and they lose their businesses.

One person decided to ask thirteen different gay bakeries to bake him a Pro-traditional-Marriage cake and he was denied service by all of them.  This experiment proves beyond doubt that the militant gay agenda is not just about their freedom to practice a sexual orientation, but the suppression of free speech.

On the other hand it is even worse than that:

The folks at Shoebat.com decided to call some 13 prominent pro-gay bakers in a row. Each one of them denied them the right to have “Gay Marriage Is Wrong” on a cake and even used deviant insults and obscenities against them.

Several Christian bakeries were sued in the United States with several who lost their businesses and we said enough is enough.

One baker even said all sorts of profanities against Christians and ended the conversation by saying that she will make me a cookie with a large phallus on it.

It was all recorded. It will stun the American people as to how militant and intolerant the homosexual bakers were. Even after we completed our experiment we got a ton of hate messages saying that we were “hateful” for simply giving them a taste of their own medicine. They argued that the slogan “Gay Marriage Is Wrong” is not the same thing as “Support Gay Marriage” as [though] an opposite view of a view is hateful. This would mean that the majority of Americans who oppose gay marriage are “bigoted” and  “hate filled”. “Support Polygamy” or “Polygamy is Wrong” are views, yet the first which the Muslim supports and the second most Americans would never support, but both are opinions and are considered free speech.

The above quotations are from the shoebat.com website.  There are many examples of the hate-filled intolerance from the militant homosexual community which could be presented in this particular blog and the ultra-bigots seem to be totally blind to their hypocrisy.  George Takai, whom I used to follow on social media, was a little overboard at times but he seems to have gone full-bore psychotic post SCOTUS ruling on gay marriage.  “Hey, George, your side won; why are you so angry?” got me blocked.  No problem, it just shows how ridiculous that “#love wins” thing is.
Someone else had something to say about the insanity from the “tolerant” left:
 A gay baker and chef has come out in support of Christian bakers who have come under fire for refusing to make same-sex wedding cakes, labeling those individuals and activists who are trying to force them to do so as ”Nazis” who are using “bullying” tactics.

Jesse Bartholomew uploaded a two-minute video to his Facebook page earlier this month, expressing his frustration with some of his fellow gays and lesbians who have gone after bakers who decline to make cakes for gay ceremonies.

 The clip came just days after it was announced that Oregon bakers Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of Sweetcakes by Melissa, would be fined $135,000 for refusing to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.

“Hi guys, my name is Jesse and I bake wedding cakes for a living, and I cannot tell you how disgusted I am with my fellow gay and lesbian community — that they would stoop so low as to force someone to bake a cake for them who simply doesn’t agree with them,” Bartholomew said. “And before you can go and blame me and say that they have to — no, they don’t have to. They don’t have to bake a cake for you.”

Bartholomew, who did not explicitly name the Kleins, went on to explain that wedding cakes cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, and questioned why gays and lesbians would want to pay that much money to make someone bake a cake against their will.

“Are you stupid? That is your personal piece of your wedding. Your guests eat that,” he said. “That cake is involved in your photos. That cake is taken in your mouth, and you eat it in your stomach.”

Bartholomew went on to accuse some of bullying — and worse.

“There’s no other bakers out there?” he rhetorically asked. “It’s plain and simple: you are bullying someone, you are forcing someone, you are being a Nazi and forcing someone to bake a damn wedding cake for you when there are hundreds of other gays and lesbians that would gladly have your business. Shame on you.”

The left can never tolerate resistance to it’s tyranny, that is why they resort to death camps, to gulags, and to ridicule and bullying.  If they tolerated dissent their agenda would receive proper scrutiny and therefore would never be implemented.

 The self-righteous left may enjoy some successes in bullying Christians and intimidating them into silence in this day but they will never succeed against Jesus Himself.  In that day, when they have to stand in His presence, He will point to the Holy Bible and inform them that His Word has condemned them and they will be reminded of every opportunity which they had to repent and accept Him as their Savior and which they rejected.  Then they will be told “You’ve made your choices, depart from Me and make your abode with the demons.”
  Today is the day to make sure you are in full obedience to Jesus, The Christ.  Today is the day to let Him begin to equip you for Heaven.  Tomorrow may be too late.

No one can beat Israel

Stand in opposition to Israel and you are needlessly putting your very own soul in jeopardy.  Many centuries ago God declared He would put the Jews back into the land; not because they deserve it but because of who He is.

The wise move is to stand with Israel because the one true God has already chosen sides.  Don’t like it, don’t whine to me about it; take it up with God.

It is in times like this that we need to strengthen ourselves by reading and all the more carefully studying the book most hated by liberals which was penned by their greatest enemy, whom they can never defeat.

What This Supreme Court Justice Ruled About Christianity in 1799 Isn’t Taught in Public Schools Today

Samuel Chase was a signatory of the Declaration of Independence and served on the U.S. Supreme Court. While not as famous as some of his contemporaries, he’s still important for a number of reasons.

One of them, a ruling in a 1799 Supreme Court case, will drive liberals nuts. Needless to say, you’re not going to hear about this ruling in public schools.

Back when Supreme Court justices would also serve on lower courts, Chase would write the opinion for the Massachusetts Supreme Court case of M’Creery’s Lessee v. Allender.

The case involved whether an Irish immigrant by the name of Thomas M’Creery had become a naturalized U.S. citizen and whether he was eligible to leave his estate to a relative in Ireland.

“Thomas M’Creery, in order to become … naturalized according to the Act of Assembly … on the 30th of September, 1795, took the oath … before the Honorable Samuel Chase, Esquire, then being the Chief Judge of the State of Maryland … and did then and there receive from the said Chief Judge, a certificate thereof. … ‘Maryland; I, Samuel Chase, Chief Judge of the State of Maryland, do hereby certify all whom it may concern, that … personally appeared before me Thomas M’Creery, and did repeat and subscribe a declaration of his belief in the Christian Religion, and take the oath required by the Act of Assembly of this State, entitled, An Act for Naturalization,’” Chase’s opinion read.

Not only that, in another 1799 case — Runkel v. Winemiller — Chase opined that Christianity was America’s established religion.

“Religion is of general and public concern, and on its support depend, in great measure, the peace and good order of government, the safety and happiness of the people. By our form of government, the Christian religion is the established religion; and all sects and denominations of Christians are placed upon the same equal footing, and are equally entitled to protection in their religious liberty,” he wrote (H/T WND).

Chase’s words aren’t oft repeated by liberals, and for good reason. It completely destroys their myth of church and state separation.

However, that doesn’t mean we can’t remind them of Samuel Chase’s bold statement about Christianity’s place in American life.
