God Said, “Be Holy”

In our day, when the Holy Bible is quite readily available, in multiple translations, just in the English, it is disturbing to observe that the overall trend regarding reading any books is on the decline.  Even though the Holy Bible still has the status of being the “best seller of all time” it also likely holds a distinction of being the most neglected book.  Therefore people in general only know what they pick up in bits and pieces through bits of sermons which they might not really be paying attention to or quotations, especially the popular misquotes.  Therefore we really should not be surprised that there are so many ineffectual Christians as well as people who imagine themselves to be a Christian but have only had enough exposure so as to be inoculated against catching the real thing.

Those two groups occasionally find themselves annoyed by the spirit-filled, effectual, group of Christians; the second more so than the first but both tend to seek out the failures of the sanctified ones, or effectual Christians, in order to exploit them to make themselves feel better about their less=than-optimal level of spiritual living.  But every one of us needs to be striving toward being more Christlike, as revealed in the Holy Bible, in order to be more properly equipped for residence in Heaven.

Ladies and gentlemen of the world; if you don’t like being in Church for a couple hours on a weekly basis, what makes you think you are going to like Heaven?

Only holy beings can handle residing in the habitation of the One True God who is the God of Father Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who is a holy God and He expects His people to be holy like Him.  He cannot lie to Himself and call that which is unholy to be what it isn’t without making it be.  Now, if someone is content to live in the “I sin daily in thought word and deed” rut, they ain’t holy by any stretch of the imagination.  But they still need to be.

The Most Racist, Intolerant, Divisive President in US History

intolerant President.jpg

Woodrow Wilson used to hold that position and he caused a lot of needless suffering but BHO has surpassed him for that position.  Hopefully, however, the next President, Trump, will be able to bring a halt to the ill effects of the Obama administration and his vile sycophants in the major media outlets.

We, the American people, need to keep praying in accordance with 2nd Chronicles 7:14 and keep reassuring each other through social media as well as keep trying to get the truth out to everyone while we do the hard work of making America great again because we finally have someone who will “have our back.”

The Left is Losing Influence

The left has been lying about the right for so long that they are finally losing their effectiveness and are properly becoming marginalized.

Let’s go right ahead and “Make America Great Again” in spite of the left’s intolerant foolishness.  We’ll all be better off for it.

“Snowflakes” Can’t Handle Christianity

Our little College Campus Snowflakes have been coddled for so long that they are poorly prepared for any real world challenges, which also include spiritual ones.  Participation trophies, which the snowflakes are accustomed to receiving, are proving to be worse than useless because instead of strengthening their immature character through minor fails, they have been set up for epic falure for which they lack any proper foundational preparation.

Every man, woman, and child on the face of this planet has been called upon to engage in a spiritual battle.  Failure to engage won’t produce any sort of consolation prize.

1st Peter 1:13  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Girding up – tighten the belt.  It references the long loose garments worn by the Asiatics of old which needed to be tightened up, or compacted, for better work, or more effectively running a race, or effectively engaging in a battle.  It is incumbent on each and every one of us to engage in such a way as to be able to call forth from within ourselves the courage and strength to fend for ourselves at critical points in time because when reality bites the improperly prepared will go down in flames, crying for nonexistent “safe spaces” as they finally realize the right, which they attempted to marginalize and sometimes to even shout down, was correct all along.

We all have a high calling to be thoroughly courageos, genuine, and sincere.  We make our own life compact by the belt of trth which helps us to avoid loose, unsubstantial, unsustainable convictions especially in the realm of spiritual and eternal things. Even if God’s truth revealed to you is only a little bit it is to be cherished as a precious treasure of infinite importance from the King of kings and may be what makes you stable and helpful when others are weak and vacillating like little left-wing snowflakes.

Suck it up buttercup, the enemy of your soul is playing fore keeps and you can no longer afford to hide from reality.  Your eternity hangs in the balance.

Faith of Reason

It is idle to talk always of the alternative of reason or faith.

Reason is itself a matter of faith.  It is an act of faith to assert that out thoughts have any relation to reality at all.  If you are merely a skeptic, you must sooner or later ask yourself the question, “Why should anything go right; even observation and deduction?”  Why should not good logic be as misleading as bad logic?  – G. K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy

Reason and faith may, at times, produce conflict between the two but ultimately the work hand in hand.  Shallow reasoning may fail to resolve the conflict but that is not the fault of reason or faith.

Reason without faith fails miserably and faith in faith without reason not only crumbles at the most inconvenient of timing but often hurts others in the process.  The God who gave us the ability to exercise both calls upon each one of us, individually and then corporately, to humble ourselves and not only cease to do that which He calls evil but learn to do well.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Holy Bible Isaiah 1:18
