Deputy chair of HAMAS In Gaza said in an interview with the AP that the Terror group is willing to agree to a five year cease fire with Israel. 
Claiming that Israel is unable to defeat Hamas,  al-hiya said his terrorist organization would agree to lay down its arms for a fully sovereign state but he sure used a lot of weasel words and double talk making it sound very much like he was trying sell a bridge in Brooklyn as he appeared to claim that Hamas would dissolve its military wing if his conditions were met.
– First problem with your proposed “cease-fire.”  You violated the tenuous cease-fire on Oct 7, 2023, with your murderous rampage, slaughtering 1,200+ unarmed civilians and thereby committing a war-crime which warranted a retaliation.  You got more than you bargained for, didn’t you?

Secondly, we know why you’re calling for a five year truce.  it’s because it will take at least that long for you to rebuild your underground infrastructure for waging war, if you’re lucky.

Folks, the word Al-hiya used for truce,  “hudna” in Arabic, is often used to denote a temporary cessation of hostilities for the purpose of building strength in order to rearm, regroup, and resume fighting.  It should be obvious to everyone that Hamas is on the verge of being eradicated and it should be for it only then that the Palestinians will be able to learn to live in peace with their neighbors.
