Fisher of Men; Islam and Liberalism

Beware 2

For several years now Western Civilization has had a great problem.  It is a question of comprehending who the enemy is.  For centuries in Europe it was clear that Islam was an enemy.  However with the rise of communism in the 19th century as well as other systems of totalitarianism, socialism, absolutism, moral relativism, mercantilism, etc. that fact got mostly lost.  There has been the creation of classes within society that seek power to such an extent that they willfully “make friends with their enemies,” against their own culture and kind for the sake of own empowerment in part because of their narcissistic personality disorder coupled with delusions of grandeur.

This explains, in part, why some defend Islam; a system which is so evil, and so totally alien to western culture.  It is because they believe they can use it and its adherents to gain power and then dispose of them when they are no longer useful to their self-serving schemes.  Little do they realize the cost of their nefarious dealings for they do not have any real comprehension regarding the deviousness of the evil spiritual power operating behind the scenes unto which they have actually given themselves over.

On 19 Oct ’15, Matt Barber wrote the headline, “Islam & Liberalism: Twin Beats of the Apocalypse” for an article he did.  He stated in the article, The battle lines are drawn, not so much between conservative vs. liberal, as many presume, but rather, between biblical vs. unbiblical, truth vs. deception.  In its most distilled form the culture war signifies the worldly manifestation of an otherworldly spiritual battle between good and evil.”

As a Pastor I have been called to be a “Watchman on the wall” and I know the responsibility that I have.  I must be able to recognize the enemy when he approaches and sound the appropriate alarm.  When the enemy sends scouting parties to test the defenses and he finds a weak spot it must be reported and acted upon so that a strengthening in that area may be accomplished.  I am allowed to call the people to rejoice in each little victory but I must remind them to “keep their powder dry.”  I am allowed to remind them that the King of Kings (the ultimate commander in chief) is absolutely guaranteed to win but we must all be alert and prepared for skirmishes along the way in order to avoid unneeded casualties.  Nor should we give any ground to our Lord’s enemies.  We are to use our talent.

We Christ followers cannot rescue the deceived from their deception when we compromise for it is an established fact, time and again, throughout history that in any compromise of good with evil the evil wins, finds no satisfaction, and demands further compromise.  Still they continue to claim that the Church may be, perhaps, tolerated in the world if only she will give up her discipline.

The twin Beasts of the Apocalypse have teamed up together in their rebellion against The Christ, the King of Kings, and are proclaiming “We will not have this man reigning over us.”  Unfortunately, in their sin-blinded eyes, they cannot comprehend that the greatest deceiver of them all has them engaged in a battle against the actual Creator of the universe who happens to be the God of Father Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Oh yes, the “best deceiver of them all,” has his deceived ones happily employed causing chaos in the world for now but the day will arrive when the “King of Kings” will return and the “Beasts of the Apocalypse” will be utterly defeated.  Luke 19:27 tells us what will happen to those who don’t want the Biblical Jesus to rule over them. (They will pay a very heavy price.)

It is true that it may get uncomfortable at times in this journey of time from here until the “Day of the Lord” fully arrives but our Lord desires that we should constantly abide in Him so that we may enjoy the journey as well as properly engage in the battles that come our way in the meantime.

Be blessed, sharpen your “Sword” skills, and keep your powder dry.

Which Jesus are You Following?

which Jesus

Follow the right Jesus and this earth is the closest you’ll get to Hell; follow the wrong Jesus and this earth is the closest you’ll get to Heaven.

By the way, whether you realize it or not, you are following one or the other.  Following the right Jesus has to be done on purpose.

The Christian Calling

Christians are called to be

We don’t get Heaven our way, we get it God’s way which just happens to be through Jesus and only through Jesus.  You can only find out the correct way by studying the Holy Bible carefully.  WWJD?  Do you actually know that answer?  Some think they do, but they haven’t a clue.

True Christian or False

true christians

I would much rather be Biblically correct than politically correct.  I know that the battle lines have been drawn and it is not really between conservative vs. liberal as so many seem to assume.  It is between biblical vs. unbiiblical, truth vs. deception, the spiritually wise vs. the spiritually clueless.

Make sure you are on the right side; I want to be able to see you in heaven.

Gospel – Salt or Sugar?

salt not sugar

Sugar-coat the Gospel and you are preaching “another gospel” and we know, or should know, what the Scripture clearly says about that.

You want to pursue that path?  Go for it, just make sure you are aware that you are pursuing temporary gains at the sacrifice of the eternal.  Never forget, we are eternal beings living a temporary human existence.

John 10:33 (Divine Claim)

John 10:33 (Divine Claim).

One of the big arguments atheists sometimes use and Muslims frequently use to deny the divinity of Jesus is the claim that Jesus never claimed to be God. The argument, which is even found in the Quran, states that Jesus never came right out, point blank, and said, “I am God” therefore He must not be God.

This argument is ridiculous on two grounds. First, it is simply not true. We see very clearly Jesus saying in John 8:58, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM.” When Moses was sent by God to go rescue the people of Israel, he asked God, “What is your name that I might tell them who sent me?” God responded, “I AM. Say this to the people, I AM has sent me to you.” This is the very name of God and Jesus point blank uses it as His own. It is found all over the Old Testament but except for in Exodus 3:14, when it is used, we have instead the word Lord all in caps. (see Genesis 2:4, Exodus 3:2, Leviticus 1:1 and about 6,500 other times)

Not only does Jesus use the very name of God as His own, there are also many other times where either another calls him God and he does not correct them or Jesus is speaking of Himself and the people listening understand clearly that He just referred to Himself as God. An example of the former is when Thomas says, “My Lord and my God” and Jesus responds, “You believe because you have seen. Blessed are those who have not seen yet still believe.” An example of the latter is found right here in John 10. Jesus had just said, “I and my Father are one” and now the crowd is picking up stones because, “You, a mere man, claim to be God.”
